STEPS FOR SUBMITTING YOUR RESUME

  1.  Make your registration payment to the PayPal link below or send directly to this PayPal  account  teachermexconnect@yahoo.ca
  2.  Send your Resume on a One-Page Word Format to teachermexconnect@yahoo.ca
  3.  Make sure that your Resume has your full name on the Attachment Title
  4.  Make sure that your Resume has at least one correct email address
  5.  Let us know in the body of your email if you are interested in a specific or position or country, or if you are applying for all countries
  6.  Wait for our confirmation of receipt of payment and Resume
  7.  Please note that it will take around 21 days to receive responses from schools
  8. Teachermexconnect is often not aware if the schools are contacting you, therefore it is essential to make sure that contact us every 2 weeks and inform us on your status
  9. If these steps and our instructions in our emails are not followed correctly then we do not take responsibility for the outcome.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the fee for and how much is it?

Teachermexconnect is a recruitment service with contacts of more than 500 schools throughout Mexico, Latin America, Spain and Italy.  Our job is to send and match your resume with current job openings.  Your fee is valid for life, therefore if you continue contact with us, job placement is very certain.  The fee is basically for the work and service we provide for you, not only of sending your resume, but also for our recognition in the market from the schools, job offers we receive from schools which are not posted anywhere on the Internet, our experience as ESL teachers,  as well as the correspondence we do on your behalf in Spanish when necessary.  The current fee is $39.99 for a lifetime membership.

How many schools will contact me and how long will it take?

IMPORTANT

This is often not understood by members and you need to be clear on this before you sign-up.  First you must understand that all communication is done through email and sometimes this takes time, it may be around 45 days before you receive your first offer.  The other problem is that many teachers want to pick and choose between schools and there is absolutely no room for this. Schools receive many resumes and if one is contacting you, then that is a definite plus.  It is quite common that you may only receive one offer and it might not be exactly what you are looking for but it is our recommendation to take it and at least it brings you to that country, where you can after your contract look for something more suitable.  Schools are taking a big chance when hiring someone not in person so an applicant should not expect to be offered a dream come true.  Members must be very enthusiastic about living somewhere else and should not expect salaries that will make them wealthy.  Salaries will cover expenses and members should note that the experience is what they should be concentrating on.

Can I submit my Resume first for review?

Absolutely.  If we feel that your chances based on your resume are low, we will inform you.  Please only submit it to one email, not everyone on this site.

There is not very much information about these jobs, why?

We are receiving several openings from many locations on a daily basis and are unable to change the posting information so frequently. Also many jobs posted are continuous openings.  If you have a specific question about a specific position, please let us know but keep in mind that we are also often not offered any details regarding salary etc. and that is discussed based upon a job offer.

Do you guarantee placement?

No, we do not but our placement rate is currently at 80%. If you are looking for a 100% placement, you will need to find a different agency but keep in mind they charge at least $300 US for their services.  Please email referrals@teachermexconnect.com and we will be happy to supply you with contacts of teachers that we have placed.

Do you guarantee anything?

Yes, we guarantee that if all steps are followed correctly and you do not receive even 1 response from any school after 4 months, we will refund your fee.  As long as you have applied to a minimum of 3 countries and all efforts have been exhausted. 

Do I need a TEFL Certificate?

Yes, it has become almost impossible to secure a job without one.  If you do not have a TEFL/TESOL Certificate, please write dalia@teachermexconnect.com on how and where it is recommended to obtain one. 

What happens after I pay the fee?

We will contact you, most likely the same day, with further instructions.  Make sure you follow the Resume Submission Steps as outlined above.

 

 

DONATION CAMPAIGN

As part of a new Government initiative to provide material, school supplies, textbooks as well as PCs for non-private Elementary and Secondary Schools, we are offering donations to the Redondeo Campana.  Any amount is welcomed and as a contributor you will receive a list of the supplies your donation purchased and for which school.  For larger donations, children will write a personal thank you letter for you contributed to.  Thank you for your support in Educating all Children in Mexico.
